PCA Academy

To promote competency-based and skills-based certification, bridging programs and dual training, and professional licensing programs (for construction professionals and managers), the programs of the PCA Academy are supported through various Government-Industry-Academe Partnerships.

Construction Program Management Masterclass

Construction Program Management Masterclass allows participants to understand the whole gamut of construction from conceptualization, implementation, completion, and close-out. This program is designed to produce future leaders and managers, who will be well-equipped to drive their organizations forward, ensuring growth and competitiveness.

Masterclass Series

The Masterclass Series focuses on offering a curriculum based on the needs of the Philippine construction industry. In the past years, we have offered 2 courses namely:

  • Introduction to FIDIC Contracts: Module 1 and 2, in collaboration with FIDIC Academy; and

  • Masterclass Series in Quantity Surveying, in collaboration with the Philippine Institute of Certified Quantity Surveyors.

Construction Supervisors Training Program

The Construction Supervisors Training Program aims to train current team leaders, potential supervisors, foremen, and site managers seeking to gain a deeper understanding of leadership, communication, and management principles. To offer this program, PCA entered into a MOA with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) last 24 June 2018 to train 2,000 construction supervisors and assistant construction supervisors – with a total value of Php 30 million under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

Understanding Construction Webinar Series

The Understanding Construction Webinar Series allows students and young professionals to be introduced to the landscape of the construction industry. This is done in collaboration with a Chapter Member, and an Academic Institution.

Student Internship

PCA partners up with an academic institution to offer Student Internship Programs to collegiate students, so they can have an opportunity to be in a workplace simulation which can be the springboard of career placement after graduation.

Faculty Immersion

The Faculty Immersion is an upcoming program between PCA and an academic institution. To execute this, a faculty will be immersed in a PCA member company to experience and learn what goes behind the scenes in a construction company – as a way to bridge the academic curriculum and the industry needs.
